New game export features in Harmony allow users to preview game animation in Harmony, and then export to Unity. Industry-standard Collada and Alembic 3D files load into Harmony, and animated character rigs can be exported to the popular Unity game engine. Open Platform Tools – Harmony 12 supports OpenFX plugins, which can be used to add striking special effects to characters and scenes. Bitmap brush improvements in Harmony 12 include a dual-brush and “Photoshop-level brush control” that allows users to adjust brush roundness and angle. Along with dual brush support, artists now have even more ways to apply unique looks. Harmony 12 has a number of significant improvements, especially to its bitmap brush tools (the traditionally vector-based Harmony had lagged in this area compared to TVPaint and Photoshop) support of OpenFX plugins, which significantly expands its capabilities as a compositing tool and enhanced compatibility with Unity for game developers.īitmap Brush Improvements – Artists can now create customized bitmap brushes as textures for experimental and organic creations. A feature comparison chart for the different versions is available on the Toon Boom website. Harmony will now be available in three distinct editions targeted at everyone from students to industry pros: Essentials (simple paperless/cutout style projects aimed at hobbyists and enthusiasts) Advanced (professional-grade solution for studios, freelancers, and others who need full paperless and simple cut-out) and Premium (fully featured paperless and sophisticated cut-out style animation with full character rigs).

Probably coincidental but just thought I'd put it out there for you techie people to discuss.īTW. One of the managers complaining about lag last night said he was on a much slower EE connection. So it got me thinking, are the issues anything to do with broadband speed? I'm fortunate enough to live in an area covered by Virgin Media fibre and a speed test suggests I am getting approx. I have never experienced any lag nor did I during Beta testing whereas others with higher spec hardware than mine do seem to be having issues. My laptop is nothing special, it's an Acer Aspire with an i5 processor running Win 10 with (I think) 4Gb of RAM. I'm no computer techie but just a thought.įor the past few evenings I have been racing in the Elite Tier of Everyone Welcome league and a couple of the managers have been complaining about lag ruining their race. If still experiencing problems check you have the latest graphic drivers for your system. Then under "Override software rendering list" Double click to "enable" If that doesn't work type "about:flags" on address bar of google chrome On Win XP, WebGL and acceleration is blacklisted because it causes various (serious) system crashes.Ģ) Find the Chrome shortcut you use (normally on the desktop or in the start menu) and right click on it.Ĥ) Add the flag -ignore-gpu-blacklist at the end of the Target box For some people different browsers work better than others in terms of frame rate and performance.īut it is what it is and not everyone can run WebGL straight out of the box it needs Hardware Acceleration in order to run. Depending on your workflow, turning tabs into windows can improve your productivity, letting you focus on multiple projects at the same time. Thanks to its multi-tabbed interface, users can easily shift between various designs for making quick comparisons. When booting up the program, users are greeted to a layout resembling to Microsoft’s Office suite of applications, thanks to its similarly structured top ribbon that lists all the core functions for instantly executing them when necessary.ĬAD files can be opened through a file selector, or they can be dragged and dropped into the application window for maximum convenience. If you simply want to preview Computer Aided Design (CAD) files in a pinch, and a full suite of functions seems like overkill, Autodesk DWG TrueView may be a great tool to save you time and energy when writing reports. From painstakingly designing everything by hand to letting Artificial Intelligence give humanity a helping hand, graphic design still remains a complex process, regardless of the recent advancements in technology. The second one is about bad makeovers and even without the title, the video thumbnail perfectly captures the silly and entertaining nature of the content.Īlthough this YouTube legend has a very diverse thumbnail design, one consistency is definitely him appearing in them. In this first example, the video is titled “A Message” and you can see Jenna in a pretty casual look facing the camera, which immediately conveys a sense of honesty (it’s almost confessional and that’s a powerful sentiment to draw viewers attention). However, when you view them together with the video title, you’ll see why they make such a strong impact. They’re incredibly simple-in fact, you may not think they look like custom thumbnails at all. This highly successful YouTuber is a great example to start with, as her video thumbnails usually don’t contain any text (which is pretty rare in this community). It helps potential viewers immediately recognize people whose content they’re interested in and can help bump up those click-through rates! 1. This type of YoutTube thumbnail design is especially popular with YouTubers whose channel is focused on their experiences (whether it’s lifestyle, gaming, fashion, etc.). Remember that “I want you” Uncle Sam poster? Well, that design perfectly captures the power of a visual which includes a person looking right at you. The YouTuber thumbnail: utilize the power of human expression What version of Dolphin were you using (please test the latest versionįrom first, 3.5 or 3.5-367 are not validĮvery version seems to have this particular issue. Generally I would expect Dolphin to play sound at the same frame rate the game requires, but emulating a Gamecube emulating an N64 is bound to be tricky. Is there an option of some sort that can force Dolphin to attempt to play sounds at a certain frame rate? Therefore, at 20 fps the music is slow and crackles, while at 60 fps it plays fine but the game runs at 3x speed. The reason became apparent by loading a save state of Ocarina of Time running while at 60 fps: Dolphin is attempting to play Ocarina of Time's music at a pace of 60 fps, but the game needs to be limited to 20 fps to be playable. The audio crackles, especially when it comes to music. Therefore, there is some framerate incongruence, especially concerning audio. Limiting Dolphin to 20 slows down the menu, but Ocarina of Time runs at normal speed. Allowing the game to run at 60 lets the menu work as expected, but does not allow Ocarina of Time to load. However, Dolphin prefers to run at 60 fps. Its weird because i watched severelas videos on youtube and seem ver stable. I'm not sure if Vexx have problem itself despite any emulator. Also, Im using a widescreen patch but still dropping fps even without it. Have you searched the issue tracker for a similar issue?Īs an N64 game, Ocarina of Time runs at 20 fps. The best emulator so far is the dolphin mmjr2 but still has drops even with 1x resolution and using both backends (Vulkan or OpenGL). |
